Re-Birthing The Cool, Bebop N Beyond is returning to Jimmy Mak’s for an evening of cool jazz, bebop and originals.
Re-Birthing The Cool, will perform all but one of the tunes from the ‘Birth of the Cool’ album, written by Gerry Mulligan, Gil Evans, Miles Davis and others.
Also some great music of Thelonious Monk, Benny Carter, Slide Hampton, Pete Petersen, and David Watson.

The band consist of some of Portland’s finest musicians: David (Doc) Watson (leader/vocals), Alyssa Schwary- McDonald (vocals), Lee Wuthenow (tenor sax), Mary-Sue Tobin (alto sax), Pete Petersen (bari sax), Paul Mazzio (trumpet), Bryant Byers (trombone), Mark Vehercamp (tuba), David Kim (piano), Ed Bennett (bass) and Tim Rap (drums).
