The Portland Saxophone Day on Monday, June 17th is a new educational event hosted by Dr. Sean Fredenburg and Dr. Mark Pipes on the Portland State University campus with special guest, Dr. Idit Shner, Professor of Saxophone at the University of Oregon. The event will be held in the Lincoln Performance Hall, 1620 SW Park Ave, Portland, OR 97201. The day begins with registration at 8AM, followed by large sax ensemble, quartets (SATB or AATB), and a masterclass with Dr. Shner.
I’ll be working with some of the sax quartets, and am excited to be a part of this event.
There will also be vendors with saxophones, mouthpieces, and gear. The day is completed with a concert at 4:30PM involving all students. The cost is $25 per student. It is open to saxophone students in middle school, high school, and college. Please register by using this link: https://forms.gle/bmA41cGphMHkNoiX9
